I believe that art has the power to form understanding between people through creating shared emotions. 

Currently a Studio Art student at St. Olaf College in Northfield, I work in the Theater Department Costume Shop and enjoy painting and sketching. 

My preferred mediums are oil painting and watercolor, using traditional representational techniques. I also work in the realm of 3D through my experience with theatrical costumes and ceramics.

I am inspired by history painting and portraiture in the Baroque and Renaissance traditions, as well as the more recent Symbolist and Pre-Raphalite movements.
